Kevin Byrd is an interdisciplinary artist and creative director, forever in pursuit of new inventions.
Kevin most recently led brand and creative at Instacart, ushering in a brand refresh leading up to its IPO in September of 2023. Previously, Kevin led brand and creative at Postmates, the food delivery start-up acquired by Uber in 2020.
Charleston-born and educated in architectural design, Kevin transitioned into interactive design and art direction. Kevin developed his skills under the Icelandic typeface designer Stefán Kjartansson.
Kevin’s unique ability to work trans-discipline brought multiple recognitions in interactive and brand design early in his career. Moving brands beyond 2D into sensorial experiences caught the eye of Dolby Laboratories, who engaged Kevin to develop an interiors design strategy for their new 16-story headquarters in Mid-Market, San Francisco. Most notably, Kevin founded the Dolby Artist Program, a platform to engage artists working at the intersection of technology and art.
Kevin advises early stage startups and small businesses. He has a passion for developing brands with inventors.
